The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. But inform your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
